OUR MISSION
Dance Xplosion is a learning, training and performing facility in southwest Austin for all forms of dance – jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, modern and hip-hop. Other forms of movement are also presented, including pre-school creative dance, "parent & me", superhero tumbling, boys hip hop, pilates and a variety of adult classes.
Dance Xplosion’s goal is not to force training and technique, but rather to teach, nurture and inspire students as they explore dance and music and develop into talented and experienced dancers. Dance Xplosion maintains a safe, professional, high-energy and creative environment in order to provide students of all ages with the opportunity to grow daily as dancers and as individuals.

To provide students with a variety of experiences which develop dance technique, self-esteem, confidence, a healthy competitive spirit and creativity.
To provide highly trained instructors who set a good example for students on and off the dance floor, and whom are always striving to learn the latest trends and techniques in their genre of dance.
To provide open communication between students, parents and staff, so that everyone involved has a positive and enriching experience.
ABOUT US
Dance Xplosion was opened by lifetime dancer Amber Frishman in 2008. Dance Xplosion is a learning, training and performing facility for all forms of dance with an exciting Annual Recital held in the spring at the conclusion of each school year. Year-round classes are offered with the "regular schedule" held from August through May, and summer classes, camps, intensives and workshops held in June and July. Guest teachers from around the country hold special master classes throughout the year which are open to both current and future Dance Xplosion students.
OUR STUDIO
Our facilities consist of more than 6,100sq feet of action-packed space in the Escarpment Village Shopping Center! This includes 3 studios rooms in our original location at 9600 Escarpment Blvd (near Starbucks) and 2 studio rooms in our second location at 5800 Slaughter Lane (across the street, near HEB).
Both of our locations include a waiting area with ample seating and free wireless internet access, a separate bag area for students, 2 full ADA restrooms, water fountains and beautiful dance studios!
Each studio room has professional-grade, fully-sprung Marley floors (which eases the pressure and impact on joints), wall-to-wall mirrors and ballet barres, full sound systems, and viewing windows or close-circuit TV for parents to observe their child's progress.
We want our students to achieve their very best, so we also offer the very best in dance attire for children to adults! From shoes, leotards, tights and tutus to shorts, pants and shirts we have the essentials at our original location. And we have everything a dancer could dream of in our retail store Bright Lights Dancewear which shares space with our 2 additional studio rooms near HEB.
From the paint, insulation, and air-conditioning all the way to the wood used for the ballet barres, Dance Xplosion is environmentally “Green.” This is positive for our world, but it also means that you and your child are breathing in the cleanest, safest air possible while dancing with us.
